Storefront → Site Editor

Site Editor

Edit storefront content in Studio with a preview and a Git-backed publishing workflow.

The Site Editor is the Storefront application inside Studio. Developers define the components, data functions, and editable fields; content teams compose pages and configure them while seeing the result.

Start with Connect a site, then create a page, edit its sections, and publish your changes.

Fresh and the former deco.cx admin are retired. Use released Blocks 7.x for the website runtime and Studio Site Editor for current content work.

How editing works

Open your site project in Studio. Preview shows the site with its editing controls; Content lists pages and saved configuration; Code supports development work. Available views depend on the project configuration and access.

Content forms come from the site's schemas. A field or component appears when the site exposes it. Changes autosave into the working branch; saving a draft and publishing are separate steps.

For content work, Fast Preview renders drafts using a configured preview server. Coding sessions use a development environment when changes require code. Connecting a site explains their setup.

Versions and migration

These guides target the released Blocks 7.x runtime and Studio Site Editor. Editor migration and runtime migration have separate lifecycles: use the migration archive to plan a move from retired Fresh/admin installations. Blocks Next describes a separate framework contract; it does not replace the released 7.x setup in these guides.

The legacy admin archive preserves the former admin.deco.cx workflows and screenshots.
