Configure storefront apps
Edit configuration blocks for installed integrations through the Site Editor.
Storefront apps package components, loaders, actions, and configuration for a site. They differ from Studio MCP Apps, which extend the platform's interface. An integration such as a commerce provider belongs to the storefront app catalog.
Edit installed configuration
- Open Content → Advanced → Apps.
- Select an existing app configuration block.
- Edit the fields generated from that app's schema. Use Content → Site for the site's main configuration and SEO for SEO defaults.
- Wait for saving, preview the affected pages, and publish.
The app form edits saved values. It does not by itself install a dependency, register runtime code, or provision an external service.
Add an integration
A developer first installs and registers the app using the appropriate framework version and its commerce or integration guide. The site must expose the app metadata and schema before Studio can show its configuration.
Keep credentials in the secret mechanism supported by that integration; do not put an API secret into an ordinary text field because it happens to be available. The field schema and runtime determine how the value is consumed.
If an app has no editable fields or is missing, confirm that it is installed, registered, and available in the site's metadata. Configuring the existing storefront and developing a new Studio MCP App are different tasks.
