Configure SEO
Set site defaults and page overrides using the storefront SEO schema.
SEO configuration belongs to the storefront and is edited through Studio's content forms. The site supplies the available SEO types and fields.
Set site defaults
Open Content → SEO and configure the site-level values exposed by your SEO block, such as title, description, canonical information, and sharing images. These defaults give ordinary pages a starting point.
Customize a page
- Open a page and its SEO editing controls.
- Select the SEO type appropriate to the page. Commerce pages may expose product or listing schemas instead of the general form.
- For a general page, leave Use default enabled for values inherited from site SEO. Disable it only for fields that need a page-specific value.
- Save, preview, and publish the change.
Inheritance is per field. Changing a site default can affect every page still inheriting that field; an explicit page override stays independent.
Check the published output
Inspect the rendered title and metadata on the public page after deployment. For dynamic product or listing routes, check real URLs with representative data. A form preview helps author configuration; the storefront runtime produces the final metadata.
If a desired field is absent, verify the SEO component and schema supplied by the site. A developer can extend those fields or choose a suitable SEO type; the editor cannot invent runtime behavior for an unsupported property.
