Edit and schedule blog posts
Manage posts with the blog app installed by your storefront.
The Site Editor exposes blog collections when it detects a compatible blog app in the site. Content then includes posts, authors, categories, context, and scheduling controls appropriate to the app version.
Edit a post
- Open Content → Posts and create or select a post.
- Set its title, slug, excerpt, cover image, and the content sections it uses.
- Select an author and category when appropriate. Configure the blog app's page path so the preview can resolve the post URL.
- Review the post and its SEO, then publish the content changes.
Blog context supplies the brand voice, formats, and recurring topics used by generation. Generated text remains editable and should be reviewed before publication.
Post status and publishing
The post's publication status controls whether the blog runtime serves it. Publishing the repository change is a separate step that delivers the configuration to the running site.
For the released 7.x workflow, @decocms/apps-blog 7.53.0 or later provides publication status and scheduling. Studio can also detect scheduling support from the running site's schema. Compatibility information for retired Fresh installations belongs to the migration archive.
For a scheduled post, configure its go-live date and publish those changes ahead of time. The compatible blog app decides when to serve it. An old or unreadable app version can leave scheduling unavailable; update the site's dependency through its normal development workflow before relying on it.
If no blog app is installed, a calendar or status control cannot make a post live.
